Tying a tie is a skill that every man should have.
Whether you’re going to a job interview, a wedding, or a formal event, a well-tied tie can make all the difference.
However, tying a tie can be intimidating for many people.
Fortunately, it isn’t as difficult as it appears. You’ll be able to tie a perfect knot every time with a little practice.
Step 1: Wrap the Tie Around Your Neck
Begin by wrapping the tie around your neck, broad end on the right and a narrow end on the left. The wide end should be slightly longer than the narrow end.
Step 2: Cross the Wide End Over the Narrow End
Cross the wide end over the narrow end, then bring it back under the narrow end and up through the neck loop.
Step 3: Bring the Wide End Around
Bring the wide end around the narrow end, crossing over it again.
Step 4: Pull the Wide End Up and Through
Pull the wide end up and through the neck loop again.
