According to multiple reports, Lionel Messi is unwilling to extend his contract with PSG and may even make a surprise return to Barcelona this summer.
MESSI CHANGES HIS MIND ABOUT PSG’S FUTURE
Lionel Messi is apparently contemplating his future at Paris Saint-Germain and is unwilling to sign a contract extension in the French city.
The present contract of the 35-year-old World Cup winner is slated to expire at the conclusion of the season, leaving his future uncertain.
PSG was optimistic that Messi would extend his contract before the World Cup, but Argentina’s victory appears to have influenced his decision.

“Once he had achieved the feat of winning the World Cup, winning more trophies in France or even another Champions League would not be enough to motivate him,” according to Spanish media outlet Marca.
Barcelona is currently widely regarded as the leading candidate to sign Messi.
However, one of the criteria for his return would be for Messi to give up a big portion of his pay in order to adjust to the Catalan side’s current predicament and wage bill.
