According to police, a man has been arrested in Mozambique’s central Sofala province for possessing a man’s head and genitals.
According to Dércio Chacate, a spokesperson for Sofala’s police command, children discovered the body parts in a plastic bag in Nhamatanda district and alerted authorities.

Investigations led to the arrest of a man who confessed to killing a man and then chopping off his head and genitals to sell.
Mr. Chacate stated that the suspect admitted to killing and decapitating three other people.
Investigations into alleged masterminds and buyers were ongoing.
Some so-called traditional doctors use body parts to make potions that they falsely claim can cure illnesses, remove bad omens, and improve people’s lives.
