Ashaiman neighborhood was placed under a self-imposed curfew on Tuesday dawn after some soldiers reportedly stormed the area following the alleged killing of a soldier over the weekend.
The soldier named “Imoro Shriff” was reportedly murdered by a mob in Ashaiman at the weekend.

The soldier was attacked on his way to his family’s house after requesting permission to leave camp to seek medical treatment per reports.
According to a Facebook comment, this is the root of Imoro Sherif’s death and the military storming Ashaiman.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, over 20 alleged soldiers stormed the Ashaiman neighborhood.
The soldiers were well-armed and came with lots of cars and armored cars.
The people of Ashaiman were forced to lock themselves in their homes for fear of being beaten up by the soldiers.
According to reports, more than 72 civilians were arrested and detained by soldiers who invaded Ashaiman early Tuesday morning.
